Connect Washoe County is a collaborative initiative between The Children’s Cabinet, Renown Health, Washoe County School District, and the Nevada Office of Suicide Prevention focused on youth and teen mental health. Educational leaders can access mental health data, provider directories, and Care Solace Navigator services to support students experiencing homelessness or in foster care. Teens benefit from peer support text lines, the Teen Mental Health Leadership Program, Safe Voice hotline, and school counselor connections. Parents find mental health professionals, parent coaching in English and Spanish, crisis support resources available around the clock, and education services. Community members can access training on suicide prevention messaging, grief support resources, community events calendar, and information about the Washoe County Youth Mental Health Consortium’s collective impact efforts.
